It is a bumpy region on the shaft of the humerus to which the deltoid muscle is affixed. It is also referred to by one of the following names:

The word “Tuberosity” originates from the Latin term “Tuber” meaning “lump.”
Deltoid tuberosity – Location
This skeletal structure is located on the lateral edge of the middle section of the humeral shaft. It is vertically oblong in shape.
Deltoid tuberosity – Anatomy
This bony structure looks like a rough, triangular area in humans. Through endochondral ossification, the structure develops in two stages:
